Half a Confession director Sasabe Kiyoshi adapts Fukuzawa Tetsuzo's same-named novel about Internet cafe refugees. Junon Super Boy Contest winner Nakamura Aoi pioneers new ground with his compelling portrayal of a protagonist who has sunk to the bottom of a stratified society.
Ordinary college student Tokieda Osamu (Nakamura) is expelled from school after his father disappears under a load of debt, and gets evicted from his apartment. He sleeps at an Internet cafe and goes from working as a day laborer to club host, and then descends into homelessness.
