[ Story ]

The second feature film based on a popular female-oriented adventure video game featuring characters based on the Shinsengumi (a special police force that protected government officials in the last days of the Shogunate). Following on from the first film, its director is Yamasaki Osamu, who works in a diverse range of genres including romantic comedy, period drama, and science fiction, and whose talents extend to production, scriptwriting, storyboarding, and more.
In the Bakumatsu (late shogun) period, the members of the Shinsengumi engage in deadly combat with grotesque "demons." Chizuru (voice; Kuwashima Houko), a young woman who disguises herself as a man as she searches for her missing father, finds herself drawn by fate to the Shinsengumi and ends up joining their battle.
