A live-action adaptation of the conclusion to a series of mystery novels by real-life doctor Kaido Takeru. An unlikely duo of a doctor and a bureaucrat attempt to solve a baffling incident that begins with a mysterious threatening letter. While utilizing developments from the television series that began in 2008, it also adds original elements that do not feature in the books.
University hospital neurologist Taguchi (Ito Atsushi) and Health Ministry official Shiratori (Nakamura Toru) are busily engaged in setting up an international auto-imaging center with a super high performance MRI apparatus. In the midst of this, someone sends an anonymous letter threatening to destroy the facility, and then a spate of suspicious deaths breaks out, but the cause is unknown.
