The first animated movie in the "Uchukyodai" series, which has included an animated television show and a live-action film. It features an original script from Koyama Chuya, creator of the manga on which the series is based, and has a story that functions as an "episode zero," harking back to the origin of the protagonists' dream of traveling to outer space.
Brian J. (voice: Otsuka Akio) and Eddie J (voice: Arimoto Kinryu) are another "space brothers" duo who dreamed of setting foot on the moon well before the Namba brothers. However, Brian passes away, and leaves a message for backup crew member Hibito (voice: KENN)...
