[ Story ]
Murakami Ryu's best-selling, but controversial novel (originally serialized in the publication Playboy), was adapted by Shinohara Tetsuo, who has displayed his talent in various genres of film. Featuring young and attractive actors such as Matsuda Ryuhei, Ando Masanobu, Ikeuchi Hiroyuki, and Saito Yoichiro, the film tells the almost unrealistic story of a war between youngsters and middle-aged women.
One afternoon, Sugioka (Ando Masanobu) meets Yanagimoto Midori (Uchida Shungiku) on the street and happens to kill her. Midori's friends, all middle-aged women, plan to take revenge on him. This incites a battle between the women and the youngsters, provoking revenge upon revenge, finally leading to war. Ishihara (Matsuda Ryuhei) manages to survive the carnage and succeeds in making an atomic bomb to blow up all his enemies, then commits suicide.
Notice the famous Showa Era pop songs that play over each death sequence.
