A documentary investigating the reasons why nine out of ten gospel music aficionados are non-Christians in Japan, a phenomenon unique to the country. Director Matsunaga Daishi, who gained plaudits at home and abroad for his film PYUUPIRU 2001-2008 about an artist with gender identity disorder, industriously investigates the gospel music scene in Japan and the United States.
Over two years, Matsunaga researches the gospel music scene in Japan and the U.S., interviewing Japan-based luminaries such as Kamebuchi Yuka, and delving into the genre's appeal and prospects. A Grammy Award-winning gospel singer also features.
