[ Story ]
A documentary that uses the poem "Kotoba" (WORDS), written by poet Tanikawa Shuntaro about the Great East Japan Earthquake, as an entry point for exploring precious words spoken by people living in various regions. It depicts the process in which new poems are born from their inherent joys and sorrows.
Investigating the theme of "Is poetry relevant to everyday life?", the camera follows a high school girl in Fukushima, an organic farmer in Tokyo, a day laborer in Osaka, a fisherman in Nagasaki, and a spiritual mystic in Aomori. These people with differing circumstances and backgrounds come into contact with Tanikawa's poem, and begin to tell their own tales in their own words.
