Yamamoto Mataichiro of the series "Crows Zero" and Lupin The Third produces this adaptation of Wakui Ken's popular manga, which is based on real-life experience. Directed by Sono Sion, whose uniquely entertaining films include Himizu and Love Exposure.
Kabukicho in Shinjuku is Japan's biggest enter tainment district. Broke and jobless Tatsuhiko (Ayano Go) meets Mako (Iseya Yusuke), who invites him to work as a scout recruiting girls for the hostess clubs and sex industry. Tatsuhiko sets to work with the belief that he is making these girls happy, but his rival Minami Hideyoshi (Yamada Takayuki) appears in front of him.
