[ Story ]

The first chapter in an animated theatrical trilogy of the identically titled comic which depicts the conflict between Ajin, a new breed of immortal human, with the Japanese government. The film brings together internationally praised KNIGHTS OF SIDONIA animation studio Polygon Pictures, supervising director Seshita Hiroyuki, and director Ando Hiroaki.
The existence of Ajin, who return to life no matter the circumstance of their death, are viewed as a problem. As a result, the third confirmed Ajin in Japan, high school student Nagai Kei (voice: Miyano Mamoru), becomes a target of the police, the Ajin Control Board, and people intent on a bounty.
