[ Story ]

Drama that boldly adapts Franz Kafka's famous novel by the same title with the setting shifted to contemporary Japan. Directed by Adachi Masao, known for The Prisoner and championing Japan's underground film scene in the 1960s.
One day, a man (Yamamoto Hiroshi) stumbles onto a sidewalk and sits down. A young man calls out to the guy but gets no response. He posts the man's photo online, and people start congregating around him. Speculations fly regarding this man without an identity, and eventually he becomes known as the "Artist of Fasting."
