A documentary set in the municipal apartment complex of Kawasaki City which has become host to elderly people living alone and depicts their indomitable existence in the face of loneliness. Director Tanaka Kei makes her commercial film debut with this film which was invited to the 2015 Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival.
79-year-old Sekiguchi Kotoji moved into the apartments upon her second marriage, but after the loss of her husband, lives with pet bird Ta-chan. She meddles in the affairs of her friend, Iwasaki Bibari, whose apartment has become crammed with refuse.
