[ Story ]
The second installment in the two-part film adaptation, the ending of which strays from the original best-seller by detective novel specialist, Yokoyama Hideo. Numerous conflicts between suspect and police, organizations and individuals, as well as father and daughter, are complexly intertwined.
A kidnapping case occurs seemingly imitating the unsolved murder-kidnapping known as "Six-Four" from Showa Era '64 (1989). While the police and the media are at odds, Mikami (Sato Koichi), an officer in the public relations office, scrambles to solve the case. As the whole story of the kidnapping is exposed, the truth behind "Six-Four" also begins coming into view.
