The second full-length animation in a trilogy adapting NISHIOISHIN's teen mystery novel. Production studio, SHAFT, which worked on the TV version aired in 2009, is handling the animation. The staff includes chief director Shinbou Akiyuki and director Oishi Tatsuya.
By helping dying vampire Kiss-shot (voice: Sakamoto Maaya), second year high school student, Araragi Koyomi (voice: Kamiya Hiroshi), has become a vampire himself. In order to become human again, he must recover Kiss-shot's severed limbs which sets in motion a grueling battle against three enemies.
