In this comedy, unforeseen misfortunes successively visit a sincere, middle-aged anchor of a television magazine show. It is written and directed by Kimizuka Ryoichi, who was the screenwriter of the "Bayside Shakedown" series.
Sumita (Nakai Kiichi) is the host of a morning news program. He is puzzled when an average co-worker, a female newscaster, tells him she wants to come clean about their love affair. On top of that, word of the shows cancellation puts him at wits end. While all this is happening, a hostage crisis occurs at a metropolitan cafe and for some reason, the suspect is demanding for Sumita's presence.
