The third volume in the condensed version of the television anime series, ‘Kuroko no Basuke', based on the popular basketball manga which has sold over 30 million copies. It depicts Kuroko Tetsuya (voice: Ono Kensho) and the Seirin High School basketball team's battle for the "Winter Cup".
Thanks to Akashi's (voice: Kamiya Hiroshi) play in the semi-finals, Rakuzan High School square off against Seirin in the final. Seirin's ace player, Higami (voice: Ono Yuki), too, is easily shut-down by Akashi. Outmatched by Rakuzan's power, the Seirin team members become demoralized, but Kuroko takes on Akashi with a firm resolve.
