The first volume in the condensed version of the television anime series, ‘Kuroko no Basuke', based on the popular basketball manga which has sold over 30 million copies. It depicts Kuroko Tetsuya (voice: Ono Kensho) and the Seirin High School basketball team's battle for the "Winter Cup".
In the first round between Seirin and Toh-o Academy, Seirin vows revenge for the Interhigh, but the talent of Toh-o's Aomine (voice: Suwabe Junichi) has become more intimidating, and vanquishes even Kuroko's new technique. However, Kuroko's teammate, Higami (voice: Ono Yuki) puts on a display of raw ability.
