Directed by TV documentary director, Oshima Arata, the second son of Director Oshima Nagisa. A documentary that follows the theatrical work of Kara Juro, a playwright who has been working in the theatrical world in Japan for 40 years. The film shows the day when Kara Juro sets about writing a play until the first day of performance on stage, and records him and his company members.
November 2006, Kara Juro, the leader of the theatrical company, Kara Gumi, starts writing a play for their new performance. The completed hand-written play script is distributed to the members, and they start creating the play. The 14 members are not just actors they also juggle every kind of work involved in theatre work, including production, art, lighting, and sound. They also respond to Kara's demand for improvisation at a party and in their daily lives. Kara even involves the shooting staff while filming to expose his life in the raw. After 40 days of preparation, the performance starts at the Red Canvas (Aka Tent). The company members and their leader, Kara, perform enthusiastically on stage.
