[ Story ]
Yamashita Nobuhiro of Linda Linda Linda adapted a comic of the same title by Kuramochi Fusako. Set in a country town richly endowed with nature, the film shows a junior high school girl who grows up through her first love. Entered in the Toronto International Film Festival in 2007.
Migita Soyo (Kaho) is in the second year at a junior high school. There are only six pupils in total at the elementary and junior high school sections, then Osawa Hiromi (Okada Masaki) is transferred from Tokyo. Soyo has a secret crush on him, but at the same time, is bewildered by his rough behavior. One day everyone goes for a swim in the sea together. On the way back, Soyo is almost run over by a train when Hiromi saves her, and the distance between the two rapidly closes. The season changes and Soyo is in the third and final year at junior high school. She hopes to go on to a local high school where she visits with Hiromi, but he looks indifferent. When asked, he says he plans to go to a high school in Tokyo. However, seeing Soyo being disappointed, he changes his mind and takes an exam for the same high school as Soyo. Both pass the exam, and their new life begins in spring.
