THE RED TURTLE is the first animated feature film coproduced by Studio Ghibli with an overseas studio. Michael Dudok de Wit, whose FATHER AND DAUGHTER won the Best Animated Short Film at the 73rd Academy Awards, directs this tale depicting the life of a man who washes ashore on a desert island.
