The live-action adaptation of Ishida Sui's popular comic 'Tokyo Ghoul' which depicts the struggle between flesh eating beings, Ghouls, and humanity. Kubota Masataka from HiGH&LOW THE MOVIE gives a good performance as the conflicted university student a portion of whose body has turned into a Ghoul.
University student Kaneki Ken (Kubota) is involved in an accident while on a date, and receives an organ transplant from a female Ghoul. He begins working at a coffeehouse, Anteiku, where Ghouls gather and steadily becomes friends with his senior colleague, Kirishima Toka (Shimizu Fumika).
