The second theatrical film of the Mobile Suit Gundam series depicting the fierce conflict between the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon. The story is a restructuring of the middle portion of the television series, and further fueled the "Gundam mania" started by the first film.
Amuro Ray (voice: Toru Furuya) and the Earth Federation Forces suffer great losses from Zeon's attacks. Through confrontations with his commanders, back-and-forth battles with spies, and his struggles against his old adversary, Char (voice: Shuichi Ikeda), Amuro develops new combat abilities.
