A film adaptation of the fifteenth episode "Cucuruz Doan's Island" from the TV animation "Mobile Suit Gundam" broadcast in 1979. Directed by Yasuhiko Yoshikazu, who worked on the "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin" series.
Amuro Ray (Furuya Toru) and his crew aboard the White Base visit an uninhabited island, commonly known as the "Island of No Return," on a mission to clear out remnants of the enemy. There, they encounter children who are not supposed to be there and a Zaku. Amuro, who lost his Gundam in the battle, meets a man who calls himself Cucuruz Doan.
