[ Story ]
Rie Shirakawa opens an art gallery in Tokyo with the financial assistance of Miyahara, a rich, old businessman whose mistress she has been for three years. Tatebayashi, a middle-aged art lover, becomes her devoted manager. In need of more money, Rie accepts the help of Kadoi who finds her irresistible. She is also involved with a young, well-to-do exporter named Misaki to whom she is much attracted physically and mistakenly thinks she is in love with him. Tatebayashi suggests to Rie that she ask Misaki for a large sum of money. Misaki refuses, to reveal how little she means to him.
Tatebayashi then introduces Rie to Tsukasa, an architect who is unlike any other man she has known. She is immediately attracted to him and finally promises to go with him on a trip. But Tatebayashi tells her that Tsukasa is shortly leaving for America with his wife whom he loves very much. Rie now realizes that Tsukasa is the first man she has ever really loved. Realizing that going away together can only hurt him, she gives him up and resumes her career as art dealer.
