[ Story ]
An undercover government agent is killed while investigating a narcotics ring and clues point to the killer being left-handed.
Sumikawa is assigned to the case with Akine, who is in love with his sister, Yukiko.
The detective meets his wartime friend Inoue and remembers that he is left-handed. Inoue introduces Sumikawa to his wife Yoshiko, who is mentally backward, wants to kill Sumikawa, but dares not pull the trigger, and instead flees to his home town. Sumikawa overtakes him and they fight on the train. Next morning their bodies are hanging from a railroad bridge.
