[ Story ]
One misty morning a series of murders occurs on the freighter, Ryuo Maru. Several men, including Tanuma (Masumi Okada) and Suetsugu (Nobuo Kaneko) murder the rest of the crew, including Yoriko (Kikko Matsuoka), the wife of the ship's doctor (Akira Nishimura), in order to take over the cargo of gold.
Three years later, Saeko (Kikko Matsuoka), Yoriko's sister, sees a phantom ship floating near shore, boards it, and discovers the corpses and a diary left by her sister. She determines to avenge her.
One by one, she kills the men who murdered her sister. She lures Tanuma and Suetsugu to the ship where they discover that the doctor has managed to stay alive by turning into a necrophile.
There is a violent fight. Suetsugu is killed by the doctor, who also dies, and Tanuma drowns, frightened by what he thinks is the corpse of Yoriko but who is actually Saeko in disguise.
Vengeance complete, Saeko, the ship's doctor, and the phantom ship disappear and peace returns to the small sea-side town.
