A love story from Kawase Naomi, director of The Mourning Forest and An, centered around a writer of film captions for the hearing-impaired. Winner of the Ecumenical Jury Prize at the 70th Cannes International Film Festival.
Misako's (Misaki Ayame) life has become monotonous. Then she meets Masaya (Nagase Masatoshi), a brilliant photographer who is losing his eyesight. Misako is captivated by a photograph of the setting sun Masaya took in the past and expresses her desire to be taken to that place. Before long, Masaya's eyesight begins to fail and Misako feels something changing within her.
