The first live-action adaptation of the popular anime series, "BLOOD-C" created by Production I.G and female manga artists, CLAMP. The completely original screenplay was written by Fujisaku Junichi who has had a hand in the production since the initial series.
The setting is Japan just prior to its descent into war. A base of operations for the Special Higher Police is set up in a village where they repeatedly conduct what could be called tyrannical inquisitions of the villagers. With the animosity between the Special Higher Police and the villagers already beyond control, the village hurtles toward a bloody massacre and all-out battle.
