[ Story ]
Documentary about Senaga Kamejiro, the man who stood up to the US Army in Okinawa under US occupation. The feature film is reedited with footage added to the highly acclaimed TV documentary that aired in 2016. Sakamoto Ryuichi created the theme song.
In 1945 at the close of World War Two, Senaga Kamejiro led the populace in Okinawa and mobilized tens of thousands of people at his speeches. Testimony by relevant parties brings into relief a life underpinned by personal convictions and Kamejiro's little-known true persona as he doggedly confronted the oppression of the US Army occupying post-war Okinawa.
