Companion piece to Kurosawa Kiyoshi's Before We Vanish, which was an official selection for the 70th Cannes Film Festival's Un Certain Regard section.
Etsuko's (Kaho) colleague Miyuki (Kishii Yukino) reveals that her house is haunted. Etsuko is worried and takes Miyuki to the mental health clinic at the hospital where her husband Tatsuo (Sometani Shota) works, and she discovers that Miyuki has lost her understanding of "family." After returning home, Etsuko tells Tatsuo that she got strange vibes from the new doctor Makabe (Higashide Masahiro) who she met at the hospital.
