Film adaptation of the same-named true story by Takeshima Yumiko, a teacher in Yame City, Fukuoka Prefecture. Paean to youth made with the full cooperation of Yame City, helmed by veteran director Nakayama Setsuo.
The Yame High School baseball team was seen as a frontrunner for the Koshien baseball tournament, and discord spreads in the team after a terrible upset. Then, theater club advisor Mikami (Miyazaki Yoshiko) asks for three players to help out as actors. Coach Yahata (Ukaji Takashi) sends three players, including ace pitcher Jun (Watanabe Yutaro).
