An anti-hero film dealing with black market loans that realistically depicts the appetite for and anxiety toward money. Ayabe Shinya, who has worked as an assistant director on Sono Shion's films, directs.
In a back alley of a rural fishing harbor, the Zenigata brothers?Tomio (Otani Ryohei) and Shizuka (Kobayashi Katsuya)?quietly run a pub called "Zenigata". After midnight, it converts to a black market loan business known for its exorbitantly high 10 day/30 percent interest rate and severe collection methods. One day, former boxer (Tanaka Shunsuke) visits the brothers with a desire to find employment.
