[ Story ]

Documentary on the Jomon period that flourished on the Japanese archipelago after the Paleolithic era, about 15,000 years ago to 2,300 years ago. During this era people started making earthenware, and mysterious alien-like clay figurines have been unearthed from Jomon-period archaeological sites around the country. Features interviews of Jomon fans including archaeologist Kobayashi Tatsuo as well as creator Ito Seiko and graphic designer Sato Taku. Explores the appeal of this mystery-laden era in the distant past.
