Highly praised for his portrayal of violence in Hime-Anole, director Yoshida Keisuke depicts love & hate in this film. Playing the main character's bride, Irene, is new star Nats Sitoy who was chosen through auditions.
42-year-old Iwao (Yasuda Ken) uses up the three million yen he steadily saved up to go looking for a bride in the Philippines, and decides on Irene (Sitoy) partly out of desperation. When he returns home, his father has unexpectedly passed away and the funeral rites are taking place. His mother Tsuru (Kino Hana) goes into a rage upon hearing an unknown girl from a foreign country is her daughter-in-law.
