[ Story ]
A film adapting Akutagawa Prize-winning author Nakamura Fuminori's debut work. A young man's life is turned upside down by a dangerous fascination for the handgun he obtains by chance. The top-notch monochromatic visuals effectively render the protagonist's distressed state of mind.
University student Toru (Murakami Nijiro) lives a dull existence. One rainy night, he finds a man's corpse and a handgun lying by the riverbank. He takes the gun and returns to his apartment. He is bewitched by the high potential of the gun to kill and before long becomes intoxicated with the thrill of secretly carrying it around with him.
