Director Tanada Yuki writes the screenplay to this live-action adaptation of her own 2008 debut novel of the same name. In the leading roles of the married couple are Takahashi Issey and Aoi Yu who co-star for the first time in eighteen years since All About Lily Chou-Chou.
Tetsuo (Takahashi), a love-doll craftsman, was instantly smitten by the good natured Sonoko (Aoi). They marry though he keeps his job a secret. When Tetsuo becomes too involved in his work, the two gradually grow apart. But as their marriage becomes more precarious Sonoko confides a secret she has been keeping.
