[ Story ]
A live-action film adaptation of the manga of the same title by Waka Hirako, which has been translated and published in ten countries around the world, directed by Tanada Yuki of Romance Doll fame.
Shiino (Nagano Mei) learns that her best friend Mariko (Nao) has fallen to her death from an apartment building. Stunned and unable to accept her death, she retrieves Mariko's precious remains, which are in the hands of her toxic parents. She then comes up with the idea of going to the beach, which Mariko had wanted to do when she was a student, and embarks on a journey, involving Makio (Kubota Masataka), whom she meets along the way.
