The live-action adaptation of Aihara Miki's popular manga 'Hot Gimmick' written and directed by Yamato Ū-ki who has an established reputation for depicting the emotions of adolescent girls such as in the films That Girl Is Dancing by the Seaside and Drowning Love.
High-school girl Narita Hatsumi (Hori Miona) lives a quiet life with her kind older brother Shinogu (Mamiya Shotaro) and the rest of her family. One day however, Tachibana Ryoki (Shimizu Hiroya), who lives in the same apartment complex, learns she has bought a pregnancy test kit for her younger sister and so in order to keep this a secret, Hatsumi begins obeying orders from Tachibana day after day.
