Film adaptation of the debut novel from Imamura Masahiro, renowned as winner of the Honkaku Mystery for Best Fiction. Directed by Kimura Hisashi, a veteran TV drama director.
University student Hamura (Kamiki Ryunosuke) gets roped into investigating a campus crime by Akechi (Nakamura Tomoya), an upperclassman who runs the Mystery Fan Club. They head to a mountain inn to join a research group's summer retreat at the suggestion of their classmate Hiruko (Hamabe Minami), who is also a private detective. That night, a member of their group is found to be brutally murdered.
