[ Story ]

Director Mori Tatsuya, known for closely covering the ghostwriter uproar that rocked Samuragochi Mamoru in the documentary FAKE, follows the real-life Tokyo Shimbun city news reporter Mochizuki Isoko who inspired the film "The Journalist". It received the Best Film Award in the Japanese Cinema Splash section of the 32nd Tokyo International Film Festival.
While a large number of news media excuse government officials who are considerate toward the Prime Minister, journalist Mochizuki Isoko has continued to pose penetrating questions at press conferences held by the Prime Minister's office. As the documentary accompanies Mochizuki, Japan's social issues are steadily thrown into relief.
