[ Story ]

Drama about mob hysteria based on the 1923 Fukuda Village incident. Directed by Mori Tatsuya, known for the documentaries A and FAKE.
The year is 1923. Sawada Tomokazu (Iura Arata) and his wife Shizuko (Tanaka Rena) leave Gyeongseong (Seoul at present) under Japanese occupation and return home to Fukuda Village in Chiba Prefecture. Tomokazu witnessed a massacre by the Japanese army in Korea, but conceals the facts. On September 1st of the same year, Japan is struck by the Great Kanto earthquake. Baseless rumors circulate and villagers commit a violent act.
