The television anime series based on Maruto Fumiaki's light novel heads to theaters for the first time with an original story written by Maruto. The entire staff and cast from the series gather again for this completely new work.
High schooler Aki Tomoya (Matsuoka Yoshitsugu) one day has a fateful run in with Kato Megumi (Yasuno Kiyono) on a hillside road where cherry blossoms dance in the air. It occurs to Tomoya to make a fan game with Megumi as the heroine, and partnering with classmates who work as illustrators and writers, the team release their first game. As he grapples with the next game, a change develops in his relationship with Megumi.
