This documentary captures the full story of the open forum at the University of Tokyo Zenkyoto Conference in which the extraordinary novelist Mishima Yukio took part a year prior to his death. The director is Toyoshima Keisuke, a graduate of the University of Tokyo, where the debate was held.
It is May 13th, 1969. An open debate is taking place between Mishima and the members of the passionate student movement, Zenkyoto, in room 900 of the University of Tokyo Komaba Campus. The face-to-face war of words between the ideologically incompatible sides is brought into sharp relief through rare footage and testimony from thirteen individuals who were involved.
