The first feature-length film in seven years by Aoyama Shinji, who gained international acclaim for Eureka, renders the emotional subtleties of modern-day women making every effort at living without ruining their pride.
Naomi (Tabe Mikako) works at a publishing company. Unable to accept the sudden death of her parents, she starts living at a high-rise apartment in the city owned by her uncle and his wife who kindly allow her to stay there on her own. However, even starting a new life with her beloved cat is unable to alleviate Naomi's sense of loss. One day, she meets an actor, Tokito Morinori (Iwata Takanori), who lives in the same building.
