Acclaimed for his feature film debut I AM A MONK, Makabe Yukinori helms this live-action adaptation of Otani Noriko's same-named manga about "kingyo sukui," the goldfish catching game at summer festivals. The protagonist is a formerly high-flying banker with a negative attitude who matures through scooping goldfish.
Elite banker Kashiba Makoto (Onoe Matsuya) works at KDS Bank's Tokyo headquarters but gets demoted to the Nara branch after screwing up on the job. Then he falls for Ikoma Yoshino (Momota Kanako), who runs a goldfish catching shop, and things take an unexpected turn.
