An original screenplay by Ogigami Naoko, director of Close-Knit, tells a story of human connections. This ensemble drama questions the meaning of happiness through the warmth of conversation around a dinner table shared with other people.
Yamada (Matsuyama Kenichi) works at a factory in the Hokuriku region and starts living in a cheap, shabby apartment called Mukolitta Heights. He decides to live his life peacefully without the company of others, but one day, Shimada (Muro Tsuyoshi), the next-door neighbor, comes to him asking to use his bathroom. From then on, Yamada's quiet life is transformed.
