Director Maeda Tetsu of A Banana? At This Time of Night? adapts to film the identically titled novel which won the Bookstore Grand Prize in 2019.
Raised by parents unrelated to her and having changed her last name four times, Yuko (Nagano Mei) lives with her father-in-law Morimiya (Tanaka Kei). However, things are not going well. Meanwhile, the freewheeling Rika (Ishihara Satomi) had been showering her daughter with love, but one day suddenly disappeared. Then Yuko receives a letter.
