As a film producer, Kawamura Genki has produced numerous hits such as Confessions and your name.. For this film he wrote the screenplay based on his fourth novel and made his feature film directorial debut.
Kasai Izumi (Suda Masaki) works for a record company, and his mother Yuriko (Harada Mieko) runs a piano school. One incident causes a rift between them, but then Yuriko develops dementia. Izumi's feelings change when he sees his mother losing her memory day by day.
