A live-action film adaptation of the humorous manga "Kappei" by Wakasugi Kiminori, the author of "Detroit Metal City". It is a high-octane depiction of love and adolescence of the main character, who has devoted his life to training.
Kappei (Ito Hideaki), an apocalyptic warrior who believes in a great prophecy that the world will end in July 1999, has been training to become the savior of mankind. One day, he is ordered by his master to abandon his training, he then meets Yamase Haru (Kamishiraishi Moka), an innocent female college student in Tokyo, and learns of "love" for the first time.
