Horror film based on a unique interpretation of the Japanese folk tale ‘The Story of the Old Man Who Made Withered Trees to Blossom', set in the present day. Directed and scripted by Urasaki Kyohei, who was in charge of editing "The Boy's Poem", one srory in the omnibus film The Blue Hearts, directed by Shimizu Takashi.
An honest old man (Ebihara Masami) lives happily with his wife and beloved dog Haru. His neighbors who are a bizarre family, that repeatedly abduct and murder, are led by a meddling old man (Shinra Manzo), kill Haru and reduce him to ashes. With Haru's ashes in hand, the honest old man begins his revenge against his neighbors.
