[ Story ]
Suspense film adaptation of the novel of the same name by Kurai Mayusuke, directed by Miike Takashi. The film depicts an epic confrontation between a deranged lawyer and a serial killer.
A bizarre murder occurs in which the victim's brain is removed with an axe. The killer, who wears the mask of a monster from the picture book ‘The Monster Woodcutter', targets lawyer Ninomiya Akira (Kamenashi Kazuya) as his next target, but Ninomiya's true nature is that of a cold-blooded, ruthless psychopath who is even more ruthless than the killer. The police make a concerted effort to investigate, but Ninomiya also launches a counter-attack against the culprit.
